Average order value statistics

In December, the AOV from Luxury & Jewelry was the highest, at $250 – this is a 38% drop from November. In general, over the past twelve months, Luxury & Jewelry has seen the highest average order values, at $348, and Beauty & Personal Care has seen the lowest, at $72.

Americas has witnessed the largest average order values overall ($190), followed by APAC ($157), and then EMEA ($111). And in terms of device type, desktop has been responsible for average order values of $158, with mobile representing $139, and $133 from tablet.

Major trends noticed:

Consumer Goods — fell by 43% in average order value, from $211 in November to $136 in December.

Luxury & Jewelry — fell by 38% in average order value, from $368 in November to $250 in December.

Fashion, Accessories, and Apparel — fell by 24% in average order value, from $262 in November to $206 in December.

Multi-Brand Retail — fell by 17% in average order value, from $95 in November to $80 in December.

Beauty & Personal Care — fell by 13% in average order value, from $76 in November to $67 in December.

Home & Furniture — fell by 15% in average order value, from $215 in November to $185 in December.
