Average order value statistics

In August, the AOV from Luxury & Jewelry was the highest, at $432 – this is a 122% spike from July. In general, over the past twelve months, Luxury & Jewelry has seen the highest average order values, at $316, and Beauty & Personal Care has seen the lowest, at $67.

Americas has witnessed the largest average order values overall ($182), followed by APAC ($130), and then EMEA ($121). And in terms of device type, desktop has been responsible for average order values of $185, with tablet representing $134, and $128 from mobile.

Major trends noticed:

Food & Beverage — rose by 118% in average order value, from $23 in July to $89 in August.

Multi-Brand Retail — rose by 127% in average order value, from $25 in July to $112 in August.

Consumer Goods — rose by 113% in average order value, from $85 in July to $307 in August.

Luxury & Jewelry — rose by 122% in average order value, from $104 in July to $432 in August.

Home & Furniture — rose by 121% in average order value, from $61 in July to $246 in August.

Pet Care & Veterinary Services — rose by 123% in average order value, from $18 in July to $75 in August.

Fashion, Accessories, and Apparel — rose by 115% in average order value, from $43 in July to $160 in August.

Beauty & Personal Care — rose by 126% in average order value, from $17 in July to $75 in August.
