Average order value statistics

In August, the AOV from Luxury & Jewelry was the highest, at $146 – this is a 20% spike from July. In general, over the past twelve months, Luxury & Jewelry has seen the highest average order values, at $204, and Home & Furniture has seen the lowest, at $53.

Americas has witnessed the largest average order values overall ($111), followed by EMEA ($107), and then APAC ($104). And in terms of device type, desktop has been responsible for average order values of $124, with mobile representing $100, and $71 from tablet.

Major trends noticed:

Pet Care & Veterinary Services — fell by 62% in average order value, from $78 in July to $41 in August.

Consumer Goods — fell by 124% in average order value, from $115 in July to $27 in August.

Luxury & Jewelry — rose by 20% in average order value, from $120 in July to $146 in August.

Beauty & Personal Care — fell by 14% in average order value, from $74 in July to $64 in August.

Food & Beverage — fell by 93% in average order value, from $74 in July to $27 in August.

Fashion, Accessories, and Apparel — fell by 53% in average order value, from $117 in July to $68 in August.
