In April, traffic from mobile drove the largest portion of visitors to eCommerce sites, at 74% – this is a 0% drop from March. In general, over the past twelve months, traffic from mobile made up 75.75% of overall visitors, with 23.25% coming from desktop, and 1% from tablet.
The biggest surge in MoM traffic came in April from Food & Beverage, with 31.67% more visitors. In general, Fashion, Accessories, and Apparel saw the largest increase in traffic, at 0.508% while Pet Care & Veterinary Services saw the steepest decline at 0.009%.
Lastly, mobile drew the largest number of new users at 65%, and mobile generated the highest percentage of returning visitors, at 80%.
Major trends noticed:
Home & Furniture — fell by 13.92% in device usage, from 264,363,199 in March to 229,953,330 in April.
Luxury & Jewelry — fell by 13.65% in device usage, from 119,126,767 in March to 103,909,464 in April.
Food & Beverage — rose by 31.67% in device usage, from 51,716,820 in March to 71,179,914 in April.
